Description

yesterday in my art class, my art teacher went off at me, because i hadn't started my major work (lazy for 8 weeks out of an 11 week term). when i got home from youth group (from which i took some great shots... check my gallery for "at sea" [link] ) i was feeling really pissed off at myself for not getting into my art... i was getting really stressed as to what i should do. so i decided to pray to the big man, aka. God. I said to him that i really needed his help to begin my art work. i asked him for inspiration, and it neednt matter what it maybe... and he replied... so i got out of bed and ran out to me desk and started making rough sketches.

today my friend Michael drove me into the city to take photos... at first the photos werent that great, nothing special... but as we turned a corner, i spotted a beggar, sitting on the ground, head down with a sign in front of him. i got out of the car and started taking lots of photos, much to the bemusement of the people walking past him, ignoring him...

the scene was perfect, just as it was shown to me by God...

it also makes you think about our fellow, less fortunate humans... when they are "productive members of society" they are accepted and people would gladly help them out if they were in a bit of trouble... but when they lose their job, or their home, or their relationships break down and have nowhere to go suddenly there is no one to help... they live on the street and live a tough life, looking for food and shelter.

this photo is dedicated to firstly God who inspired me... and to all those people who live on the streets and have done no wrong
